Reimagine Mulan’s outdated visual identity into a modern, welcoming brand system that reflects its spacious dining atmosphere, approachable pricing, and elevated Asian dining experience.
Challenge
Mulan had built a strong reputation within the local community, but its visual identity no longer reflected the quality and atmosphere of the restaurant itself. The challenge was to transform an outdated and inconsistent identity into something more cohesive, contemporary, and memorable—while preserving the warmth and familiarity customers already loved.
Strategy
Our approach focused on creating a brand that feels spacious, welcoming, and full of subtle elegance. Drawing inspiration from the Mulan flower, we developed a visual identity centered around softness, balance, and organic forms. The color palette was directly inspired by the restaurant’s interior and dining environment, using warm and inviting tones to reinforce a sense of comfort and hospitality. Combined with refined typography, thoughtful layouts, and warm photography direction, the identity was designed to elevate the restaurant’s presence while maintaining an approachable and affordable feel. Every element works together to reflect Mulan’s atmosphere—modern, comforting, and rooted in genuine dining experiences.
